Chosun gallery opened it's door in Sokong-dong, the core commercial district in Seoul , 1971. Since then, as one of the leading contemporary art gallery in Korea , it has provided approximately 320 exhibitions to the public. The gallery presents national and international exhibitions of works by a range of artists from emerging visionaries to established artists.

In 2001, the gallery held it's 30th anniversary exhibition at the newly relocated space in Samsung-dong where the new center of cultural and financial district of Seoul metropolitan area. For the last decades, in effort to develope international exposure for the gallery's brilliant artists, the gallery participated international art fairs such as NICAF, Art Cologne, CIGE and FIAC.

The second gallery space, located in the center of historic Seoul which opened in 2004, attracts and maintain s most prestigious private collectors and cooperate foundations in Korean and international visual art market.
