Gallery Chosun will host a group exhibition titled «Break Time» from November 4 to 23, 2023. The title 'Break Time', is commonly understood to signify a period of rest our pause. This exhibition provides a curated interim between the individual exhibitions of Gallery Chosun's exclusive artists. 

An artist's time typically comprises their ongoing daily efforts as well as occasional exhibitions or public events. Similar to musicians, they are relatively brief performances or displays, contrasted with extended periods of practice and preparation. As observers, we often only experience the final presentations and are unaware of thel lengthy period of dedicated work behind the scenes.

During these 'lengthy periods', artists engage in various activities such as commuting to their sutdios, honing their skills, and reflecting on their creative processes. This includes the detailed craftsmanship, experimenting with new materials, overcoming challenges in their projects, consulting with colleagues or mentors, and continuously evaluating and refining their work. 

Over time, these cumulative efforts lead to the evolution of an artist's portfolio. Sometimes, these developments are subtle; at other times, they represent significant milestones. While exhibitions often showcase polished works and curated narratives, the processes and works created during the in-between periods may remain less defined and more ambiguous. 

«Break Time» offers a brief insight into the interval between the exhibitions of Gallery Chosun's exclusive artists. This exhibition provides an opportunity to appreciate the substantial amount of time dedicated by artists to developing their work. Similar to how singers  have a dance 'break' in the middle of their performances, visitors may also discover new facets of the artists' talents or observe their exceptional, dance-like qualities during this concise exhibition.
