There have already been many studies on the artistic value of jogakbo. Most of them looked at its visual link to modern abstract painting or focused on the taste and care of Korean women in the inner quarters culture of the Joseon period.

However, the May 2010 exhibition 《조각보 입히기》(Dressing with Jogakbo), created a joint project by traditional craft artist Lee Jeom-nam(李点南), age 90, and fashion design professor Kim Jung hee, combining eco-friendly design with traditional jogakbo.

From a material point of view, all the fabrics used in the exhibition were reused, which connects it to environmental fashion design. But this is not the main point. Clothes made from fabric samples or leftover scraps are very limited in the overall fashion industry.

What matters more in this exhibition is that it links the spiritual and aesthetic values of traditional jogakbo with a mindset of environmental protection.
