The Three Fates are shown in the group exhibition ⟪White Rhapsody⟫, which examines how white has been shaped, used, and consumed in today’s visual culture through processes of modernisation and industrialisation. The work is made from traditional white fabrics; such as cotton passed down from the artist’s mother, plain cotton, and silk. Delicate patterns created through stitching and cut-out techniques emerge through light and take on a sense of warmth. Beyond material qualities, the work seeks to express the spiritual aspects of white, including transcendence and sacredness.
