  • After presenting his Round of Body series at the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art,
Min Sunghong has continued to develop the idea.

For this solo exhibition, he unveiled an installation that brings together the core idea of Round of Body and the motif of the “antenna bird” for the first time.
This print is created to mark that key moment.

Hence, the piece is more than a simple exhibition item.
It serves as an archive piece that captures an important shift in the artist’s work.

  • This print is a fully hand-made silkscreen work.
Instead of the usual three to five layers, it uses ten colour layers, giving the image much richer depth and density.

The printmaker created ten separate screens, one for each colour,
then applied ink and pulled each layer by hand, repeating the process many times to build the final image.

This demanding method takes a great deal of time and care,
but it allows for a vivid reproduction of the drawing’s finer details: the slight shifts in colour where pen lines overlap,
the difference in tone and texture between graphite and ink, and the change in line weight from hand pressure.

  • To keep the raw feeling of the note, the print was finished with rough paper edges.

This brings out the natural texture of the paper and the roughness of the cut surface.

  • Min signing each work by hand

  • Each edition carries Min Sunghong’s handwritten signature and its own serial number.

This ensures the print’s authenticity and uniqueness, and confirms that it is an officially recognized work by the artist.
